Mission Drive a culture of safety by ensuring full compliance with OH&S policies and environmental standards, conducting root-cause incident investigations, and executing safety campaigns to maintain a secure, high-standard working environment. Serve as the primary point of contact for the planning and execution of product commissioning and service delivery, ensuring all activities align with commercial agreements and project timelines. Oversee the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) to ensure optimal stock levels, manage component and warranty lifecycles, and validate long-term spare parts planning to support both proactive and reactive maintenance. Lead technical troubleshooting and maintenance strategy optimization to maximize machine uptime and meet contractual performance metrics, including availability, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair). Manage employee performance and competency mapping, coordinate annual staff training programs, and monitor contract data to provide regular reporting on service levels and operational feedback to divisional leadership.
Your Profile:
University Degree, preferably in a mechanical field, electrical, electromechanical or similar through experience, or same gained by experience. Extensive hands-on expertise in surface or underground drilling systems—including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and Rig Control Systems (RCS)—combined with a proven track record of managing site-based maintenance teams and mining contractor relations. In-depth knowledge of heavy mining equipment including drills, loaders, and trucks. Strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance, including condition monitoring and failure analysis. Expertise in maintenance philosophies and troubleshooting complex project issues—such as machine failures and delays—while integrating automation and digitization to optimize performance. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, negotiate effectively with clients and contractors, and resolve conflicts to ensure project goals are met. Skilled in implementing mining industry standards and quality measures, backed by meticulous record-keeping and progress reporting to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.Location and other info such as travel requirements etc
