Job Summary
As an open-source intelligence (OSINT) and publicly available information (PAI) data scientist, you can leverage your experience to turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve operational defense challenges. You’ll work closely with military leaders and warfighters to understand their questions and requirements, and then dig into the publicly available data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll explore new data sources, create effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources to support the U.S. and operational partners. You'll apply expertise in intelligence, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and collections to help our military clients make informed operational decisions. You'll find and work with available web and social media content, construct new OSINT and PAI tradecraft documents and workflows, and analyze the development of OSINT and PAI tradecraft.

Job Description/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with PAI analytic principals
- Experience with all-source analysis or targeting at the tactical level
- Knowledge of national and service-specific OSINT policy and regulations
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Completion of OS301 Basic OSINT Course, OS302 Intermediate OSINT Tools and Tradecraft Course, and OS303 Advanced OSINT Tradecraft Course
Nice If You Have:  Â
- 2+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
- Experience with ETL and ELT workflows for reporting analytics
- Experience automating data engineering tasks and accessing data using APIs and crawlers
- Experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Experience with all-source intelligence processes, data evaluation, and analytical tools
- Knowledge of intelligence disciplines, including signals intelligence (SIGINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT)
- Knowledge of internet-based research, including Boolean logic, search engines, and database resources, and internet sources, including social media, social networking tools, data exploitation, and commercial and industry-based databases
- Ability to program in Python, SQL, R, or Scala
