Legal Counsel (f/m/d)

Alpha Trains has owned and leased locomotives and passenger trains for nearly 24 years. More than 130 employees of various nationalities are active across Europe. Our more than 1,000 locomotives and passenger trains are utilized in 22 European countries.

Someone who not only embodies the essence of a team player and plays a crucial role in the legal department, but also effortlessly sails through independent tasks. You are enthusiastic with top-notch communication skills within a diverse and highly motivated team.

WHAT WOULD KEEP YOU BUSY

Negotiating and drafting commercial and other legal agreements, aligned with our group standards, fully grasping the risks and seeing the opportunities for our business Be the go-to person for colleagues from all other departments for legal advice and support In case they cannot be avoided, tackle disputes and follow-up on litigation procedures Where necessary for particular cases, co-ordinate with and manage appointed external lawyers from various jurisdictions Keep the latest and greatest standard leases and contracts up to date and available to our commercial, engineering and operations team Prepare internal agreements and documents in line with corporate governance

WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM

If you are excited about joining our team, here is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:

A Master’s degree in law, with a soft spot on commercial law and contract law. Boasting a solid 5 years of experience in a law firm and/or as inhouse lawyer Fluent (orally and in writing) in German and English, any other language is certainly appreciated A knack for understanding the technical and financial aspects of transactions, coupled with a sensitivity for commercially significant matters Pro-active, adaptable, pragmatic and a go-to problem solver Being organised, methodical and detail spotting is a superpower
