Overview:
Inuka is working with a fast-growing distributed energy platform to recruit a Head of Sales, West Africa. Based in Accra (preferred) or Abidjan, this role will lead regional commercial growth across C&I solar markets, driving revenue, expanding into new geographies, and building a high-performing sales function.
Responsibilities:
- Own sales performance and revenue growth across West Africa.
- Expand existing pipeline in core markets and drive entry into new regions, including Francophone markets.
- Originate and close commercial deals with industrial and corporate clients.
- Lead opportunities from early engagement through negotiation, contract close, and handover.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to improve deal velocity and conversion rates.
- Define go-to-market strategies and support regional expansion plans.
- Provide market insights on customers, competition, and commercial trends.
- Collaborate with technical, finance, and delivery teams to structure viable solutions.
- Build and scale the regional commercial team over time.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles.
- Proven track record of originating and closing complex deals.
- Experience in energy, C&I solar, distributed energy, or related sectors preferred.
- Strong presence or experience in West Africa; Francophone exposure is an advantage.
- Highly commercial, proactive, and execution-focused mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Willingness to be based in Accra or Abidjan; relocation considered for strong candidates.
