Job summary
We are seeking proactive, persuasive, and customer-focused Field Partners to be the face of My Sage in the community. You will be responsible for direct customer acquisition, promoting our loan and savings products, educating clients, and managing a portfolio of clients. Success in this role requires a passion for sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to ethical client service.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Identify, onboard, and nurture individuals, groups, and student customers within assigned communities.
- Build trust through consistent engagement, transparency, and accurate communication of solutions and processes.
- Conduct pre-onboarding education sessions on safe banking practices and fraud prevention.
- Educate customers on savings discipline, digital transactions, and basic financial literacy.
- Support customers to download, register, and navigate digital solutions confidently.
- Promote use of digital channels to reduce cash dependency and enhance transaction safety.
- Conduct cash collections only through approved, system-logged channels.
- Ensure immediate digital reconciliation and confirmation of every transaction.
- Follow the “Trust Charter” guidelines on customer confidentiality and integrity.
- Capture accurate customer data, business profiles, and behavioral insights through field tablets or app tools.
- Diagnose simple business patterns to inform customer segmentation.
- Provide field reports on customer engagement, digital adoption, and feedback trends.
- Adhere strictly to policies on cash handling, data privacy, and field ethics.
- Educate customers on common fraud tactics and escalation protocols.
- Report suspicious activities, customer complaints, or policy breaches immediately.
- Act as ambassador during market activations, financial literacy programs, and partnership events.
- Maintain a professional image at all times — in conduct, communication, and appearance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a Diploma or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- 1 - 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in microfinance, banking, insurance, telecommunications (mobile money), or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).
- Fresh graduates with a strong desire to build a career in sales and a demonstrated aptitude for persuasion (through campus/leadership activities) are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent knowledge of the local Accra business environment and communities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Basic numerical and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in using a smartphone for reporting; familiarity with basic MS Office (Excel, Word) is a plus.
- Must be willing to be in the field 80% of the time.
