Fleet Dispatch Supervisor

Job Responsibilities
- Fleet Capacity Scheduling: Coordinate scheduling & route planning for company-owned vehicles, allocate trucks for delivery & pickup as required to maximize vehicle utilization rate.
- In-transit Monitoring: Track real-time location of vehicles and drivers, promptly resolve transport exceptions including traffic jams, vehicle breakdowns and cargo detention issues.
- Document Handover: Verify delivery orders and signed receipts, organize all transport documents, and align data with warehouse, sales and finance teams synchronously.
- Cross-department Coordination: Liaise with warehouse for stock preparation and customers for goods receiving, coordinate loading & unloading schedules to guarantee on-time delivery.
- Data Reporting: Calculate daily fleet metrics including departure volume, empty load rate & on-time delivery rate, submit daily and weekly dispatch reports to management.
- Fleet Management Support: Report vehicle & driver operational issues, assist in resolving minor cargo damage and transport disputes, and enforce all safety transportation regulations.
Job Requirements
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or above, minimum 5 years hands-on dispatch experience managing self-owned freight fleets, fully familiar with local Ghana land transport workflows.
- Core Competencies: Capable of route optimization and real-time shipment tracking; proficient in Microsoft Excel for building dispatch ledgers; excellent communication & emergency response skills to handle unforeseen transport incidents efficiently.
- Basic Knowledge: Solid understanding of truck transportation, loading/unloading operations and freight documentation standards; candidates with valid driving license are preferred.
