Role Description This is a temporary, on-site Enumerator role based in Wa. The Enumerator will collect field data through structured and semi-structured interviews, household and community surveys, and observation checklists. Day-to-day tasks include visiting assigned locations, engaging respondents in a professional and respectful manner, accurately recording responses on paper or digital tools, and verifying data for completeness and clarity. The role also involves following sampling plans, adhering to project protocols, maintaining confidentiality, and reporting daily progress to the field supervisor or project lead. Enumerators will participate in training sessions, pretesting tools, and debrief meetings, and may support basic data cleaning or documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong data collection skills, including administering questionnaires, conducting interviews, and recording responses accurately.
• Ability to use mobile data collection tools, tablets, or smartphones, and basic proficiency with common office applications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse respondents in a respectful and neutral manner.
• High attention to detail, reliability in following field protocols, and strong organizational skills for managing daily assignments.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages spoken in and around Wa is an advantage.
• Prior experience as an enumerator, field interviewer, or community-based data collector is preferred but not required.
• Willingness and physical ability to travel within Wa and surrounding areas, including walking to and between survey locations.
• Minimum of a senior high school certificate; additional training or a diploma in statistics, social sciences, or related fields is a plus.
• Demonstrated professionalism, respect for confidentiality, and commitment to ethical data collection practices.
