Responsibilities
- Assist proposal efforts including completing project scoping when required.
- Respond to customer issues and resolve customer problems in a timely manner.
- Liaise with the Customers, Suppliers, Project Managers, Engineers and Field Service Teams etc. to ensure that all contractual obligations are met throughout all phases of the contract(s).
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineering staff
- Provide “Technical Authority” review/approvals/authorisation for design documentation etc. when required.
- Assist the Project Manager with the resolution of engineering issues and determination of solutions.
- Coordinate engineering matters with the contractor and subcontractors.
- Review and approve engineering documents i.e. drawings, specifications and requisitions.
- Assure the drawings and other engineering documents issued accessible to all concerned personnel on site.
- Ensure that engineering work proceeds in accordance with the quality assurance plan.
- Prepare the disposition plan for non-conformance items, in accordance with the QA/QC procedure and authorizes disposition plan.
- Coordinate turnover procedure efforts among all parties concerned, including compilation of the documents required for facilities turnover to the client.
- Verify compliance with plans, industry and project standards, building codes, legal requirements and more.
- Review and approve all project plans and specifications; sign off on completion and appropriate intervals and upon completion of project.
Education
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in similar position in oil & gas industry.
Skills
- Broad experience in Oil & Gas facilities.
- High order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with ability to interact across multiple disciplines.
- Overall knowledge of engineering design methods, procedures and codes/standards.
- High level awareness of commercial, cost, schedule and contract.
- Ability to influence and motivate others with regard to continuous improvements.
