Job Summary

As an eDiscovery Product Evaluation Specialist, you will need to be proactive and detail-oriented, capable of understanding and documenting the functionalities and limitations of various eDiscovery tools. Your role involves close collaboration with internal teams to understand their needs, translating these into practical test scenarios, and providing clear, actionable feedback. Experience in working with data processing and transformation tools is a must. It’s also important that you have an ability to learn quickly, analyze product performance effectively, and contribute to Lighthouse’s mission of delivering exceptional eDiscovery solutions.

Job Description/Requirements

What you’ll be doing:

  • Primary focus on researching, evaluating, and testing leading eDiscovery third-party software such as Cellebrite, MessageCrawler, Encase, Onna, Logikcull, Nuix, and Relativity and how they can be used to support the collection and processing of modern data sources, such as M365, Teams, Slack, Google, and mobile devices.
  • Serve as a primary resource for information on third-party eDiscovery software, offering insights on technology, application use cases, and suitability for specific purposes. Develop expertise to provide in-depth guidance to Product Owners, Solution Managers, and key stakeholders, ensuring optimal use of third-party tools in our solutions.
  • Keep updated with the latest trends in data management technologies and maintain a broad understanding of eDiscovery platforms. Regularly review new features, releases, and roadmaps of third-party software, conducting tests and research to assess their impact on our solutions.
  • Conduct research to support strategic decision-making on product selection and solution development.
  • Investigate and evaluate how third-party software can be effectively incorporated into Lighthouse's workflows and proprietary technology. Provide recommendations for integration, highlighting potential benefits and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with different teams to identify how third-party software can enhance customer satisfaction, increase revenue, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Work with various teams to translate ideas into specific use case scenarios, contributing to broader cross-team discussions on new technologies and products to advance the e-discovery process.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business objectives and requirements.
  • Actively participate in collaborative efforts with internal scrum teams on the integration of third-party software, fostering cross-team cooperation and building connections with both internal and external parties.

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as with eDiscovery related products/services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent is a nice-to-have. 
  • Deep experience in at least two of the following:    eDiscovery, computer forensics, data collection, modern data/messaging platform administration (M365, Teams, Slack, Google), third-party tools for data collection, exporting and/or processing (Cellebrite, MessageCrawler, Encase, Onna, Logikcull), litigation support, Nuix, Relativity.
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and a demonstrated track record of building relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Natural tendency to be curious, positive, and creative.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong judgement when it comes to resolving issues.
  • Ability to collaborate and manage up, down, and across. 
  • Experience and creativity in troubleshooting software/hardware/process problems. 
  • Sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into challenges they present or experience.
  • Sharp eye for detail and a practiced sense of order and organization.
  • Ability to recognize patterns to guide further hypotheses.
  • Ability to synthesize information effectively and formally document /report findings.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning technologies and processes.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team structure.
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and process.
