At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Exercise Physiologist to join our Community Allied Health team and support consumers to achieve meaningful recovery and health outcomes.
About The Opportunity
As an Exercise Physiologist, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based exercise physiology services to individuals with complex physical and mental health needs. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialised assessment, exercise prescription, health education, and behaviour change programs in both individual and group settings.
This role is central to improving functional capacity, quality of life, and overall wellbeing for consumers, carers, and families through recovery-oriented and strengths-based practice.
In This Role You Will
- Provide evidence-based exercise physiology interventions for consumers with complex chronic and co-morbid health conditions.
- Deliver individual and group exercise programs, including health education and chronic disease self-management sessions.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, GPs, community partners, and service providers to ensure integrated and seamless care..
- Engage consumers, families, and carers in the design, delivery, and evaluation of personalised exercise programs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, discharge planning, case conferences, and clinical reviews as required.
- Contribute to service development, continuous quality improvement, and evaluation of treatment outcomes.
- Maintain professional standards through ongoing education, clinical supervision, and student supervision where appropriate.

About You
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Exercise Physiologist who brings both clinical expertise and a collaborative mindset. You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation or Clinical Exercise Physiology that aligns with eligibility for accreditation with Exercise & Sport Science Australia (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist .
- Demonstrated experience delivering individual and group-based exercise physiology services to clients with complex chronic conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to professional development, clinical supervision and continuous quality improvement.
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence and the ability to meet NSW Health screening requirements.
- Ability to work Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays
