Business Development Consultant, Ghana and West Africa

Job Summary

The objective of this mid-senior level position is to grow the portfolio of customers, mostly across Ghana, and build a fruitful connection with the consultants. As a business developer, you will increase the revenue while taking the ownership of the transactional processes of the firm.

Job Description/Requirements

Building Winners is a talent development, advisory, and business coaching firm focusing on the promotion of Africa. The objective of this mid-senior level position is to grow the portfolio of customers, mostly across Ghana, and build a fruitful connection with the consultants. As a business developer, you will increase the revenue while taking the ownership of the transactional processes of the firm. 

Business development:

  • Identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals, maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. 

  • Enhance customer relationships and build customer loyalty.

  • Develop positive and fruitful collaborations with the local and international consultants

  • Propose and implement a business growth plan to achieve positive results.

  • Oversee training, consulting, and coaching operations. Coordinate the organization of workshops. 

  • Build lasting and beneficial business partnerships

  • Promote the image of the organization


Administration and process:

  • Set-up and manage the invoice to cash process

  • Ensure fiscal compliance 


Skills and competencies

  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve results

  • Performance management oriented

  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Critical thinking, ability to generate innovative ideas and topics

  • Proactive in identifying issues and challenges with accounts

  • Good financial, accounting, and fiscal background 

  • Excellent English speaking and writing English skills

  • Experience of consulting or recruitment firm would be a plus

  • Minimum French speaking skills would be a plus


Academic background

  • Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, Msc. in Finance, Marketing, Sales, HR, business operations and equivalent.
