Role Overview


The Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager will play a key strategic and operational role in accelerating the company’s growth by driving sales performance, strengthening the brand, and overseeing marketing operations across both Hatton Technologies and its e-commerce arm, HTL Ghana.

This position blends strategic sales leadership, marketing management, and digital commerce oversight — ideal for a dynamic, tech-savvy professional who understands the intersection of IT solutions and digital retail.


Key Responsibilities


1. Sales Development


Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities across software, IoT, AI, and cloud infrastructure solutions.


Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline across key sectors: finance, retail, telecom, education, logistics, and government.


Lead the preparation of proposals, quotations, and solution presentations tailored to client needs.


Conduct client meetings and demos to translate technical solutions into clear business value.


Negotiate and close contracts to meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.


Strengthen after-sales relationships and ensure client satisfaction, renewals, and referrals.


2. Marketing & Brand Management


Assist the C.E.O. in planning and executing integrated marketing strategies across digital, traditional, and experiential channels.


Lead marketing activities for Hatton Technologies and HTL Ghana, including campaigns, events, and seasonal promotions.


Supervise the creation of marketing materials — social media content, website updates, brochures, and newsletters.


Support internal teams in storytelling and content creation that highlights the company’s expertise in technology innovation.


Measure and report campaign performance, focusing on engagement, lead generation, and return on marketing investment (ROMI).


3. E-Commerce Management


Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s online marketplace.


Develop and implement growth strategies to increase online traffic, conversion rates, and average order value.


Manage vendor onboarding, product listings, pricing, and promotions in coordination with category managers.


Collaborate with logistics and IT teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, delivery tracking, and customer experience.


Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to enhance platform performance.


Implement digital marketing initiatives — SEO, PPC, influencer collaborations, and campus activations — to expand brand reach.


4. Strategic Partnerships & Business Development


Identify and cultivate partnerships with hardware suppliers, tech distributors, fintechs, and institutional clients.


Strengthen relationships with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IoT hardware manufacturers.


Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and industry networking events.


Lead discussions with universities, tech incubators, and startup hubs for collaboration and brand awareness.


5. Market Intelligence & Strategy


Conduct regular competitor and market analysis to identify emerging opportunities in Ghana’s tech and e-commerce landscape.


Provide the C.E.O. with periodic sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights.


Recommend pricing strategies, product bundles, and promotional activities based on customer feedback and analytics.


Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.


5–7 years of proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the IT, software, or telecom sectors.


Understanding of software solutions, AI tools, IoT systems, cloud services, and digital commerce.


Demonstrated success in managing or growing an online business or e-commerce platform.


Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.


Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, HubSpot, Mailchimp, SEO platforms).


Excellent leadership, multitasking, and analytical abilities.
