Job Summary
We are looking to hire an Agronomist who has experience in vegetable farming, especially habanero pepper. The Agronomist must have hands-on experience in vegetable farming with the necessary skills to deliver top-notch quality produce either in the open field or in greenhouses. You will be responsible for investigating and implementing solutions to
- Minimum Qualification: High School (S.S.C.E)
- Experience Level: Entry level
- Experience Length: 2 years
Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the production of vegetables
- Implementation of agronomic practices to produce maximum yield and quality
- Proper documentation of all agronomic practices including details of chemicals used and quantity.
- Proper diagnosis of pests and disease infestation and recommend appropriate mode of control
- Managing farm hands to do the right thing
- Ensure traceability in all practices from the production period right down to harvesting and packaging.
- Other duties deemed necessary for quality and quantity assuranceÂ
Requirements:
- Degree/HND/Diploma in agriculture from a reputable institution
- Minimum 2 years experience in greenhouse or open field vegetable production especially habanero pepper
- Ability to undertake proper diagnosis of pests and diseases related to vegetables and recommend appropriate intervention to control them
- Ability to use a computerÂ
ConditionsÂ
You will work normal office hours Monday to Saturday (7:30 am-5:00 pm).
You may be required to work on other non-working days or hours as overtime to meet deadlinesÂ

Salary Range:Â GHC2,000.00 to GHC 5,000.00
