Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth for us. As the VP of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, building and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.

Job Description/Requirements

In this role, you'll get to:
  • Sales Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Revenue Generation: Setting ambitious yet achievable sales targets and KPIs to drive revenue growth across various product lines or regions.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the executive team to develop a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify new market opportunities and areas for expansion.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously refining and optimizing sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Generating sales forecasts, analyzing sales data, preparing regular reports, and presenting findings to the executive team.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and promote professional growth within the team.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners. Understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to tailor solutions that meet their unique requirements.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to deal closure. Implement effective sales processes and tools to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of initiatives.
  • Market Analysis and Planning: Conducting market research, identifying new opportunities, and devising effective sales plans and tactics to capitalize on market trends.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Developing and managing the sales department's budget, allocating resources effectively, and optimizing ROI.

We are looking for people who have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in scaling sales and achieving revenue targets, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment. Experience in rapidly growing a customer base and driving substantial revenue growth is highly valuable.
  • Strong experience in technology or SaaS sales, ideally within the tech startup ecosystem.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and vision to develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with the startup's growth objectives. This includes an understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to thrive in an agile and fast-paced startup environment, wearing multiple hats, and being adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics to drive sales decisions, track performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Hubspot) and sales analytics tools.
