Summary

We are seeking a disciplined, safety-driven, and technically skilled Technical Driver Team Leader to oversee all company drivers and internal engineering vehicles. This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for safe driving practices, vehicle maintenance oversight, and coordination. The ideal candidate combines strong driving expertise with practical vehicle troubleshooting skills and proven team leadership ability.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, engineering vehicles, or special-purpose vehicles as required.
• Ensure full compliance with company driving policies.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (oil, coolant, brakes, tire pressure, battery, lights).
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs (tires, batteries, oil lines).
• Ensure vehicles remain clean, and properly maintained at all times.
• Handle and report vehicle breakdowns, malfunctions, or incidents promptly.
• Allocate assignments efficiently to ensure high task completion rates.
• Monitor driver performance and enforce safety and compliance standards.
• Conduct safety briefings and basic vehicle maintenance training for drivers.
• Ensure discipline, professionalism, and adherence to company regulations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for inspections and repairs.

Required Qualifications

• A valid Ghana DVLA Class E License (relevant to heavy-duty vehicles).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience and any mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supervising drivers or heavy equipment operators.
• Strong knowledge of excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and heavy-duty trucks.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting capability.
• Clean driving record (no major violations or accidents).
• Strong discipline, integrity, and leadership presence.
