Job Summary

The Senior Line Supervisor is in charge of sewing lines and will be responsible for the execution of all production work of converting inputs into outputs as per the buyer’s instructions. You will be responsible for sewing lines by making sure the line meets the required efficiency and quality.

Job Description/Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

Production Management

  • Must closely work with the Line Supervisors and assistants to achieve order plans and quantities required from the line.
  • Must work with the Production Manager and Senior Production Manager to review production plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis against the line's performance.
  • Must work with the Production Manager to ensure supervisors are well briefed on order quantity, and approved sampless and understand the tech packs so there are no mistakes in the production.
  • Coordinate with the feeding department to ensure that the lines are well fed with work from the cutting department without delay.
  • Supervised daily in all reconciliation in the line after order is finished for the day.



Training, People, and Performance Management:

  • Monitor the activities and performance of supervisors in the line by ensuring that they are managing the lines appropriately.
  • Assist the production manager to train supervisor and workers on how to read tech packs, take measurements, balance lines, monitor production, and manage sewing machines in the line in the absence of mechanics.
  • Assist the Production Manager in Training operators on difficult operations and machines with support from the Technicians and Trainers.
  • Work with the HR department to reduce absenteeism by forwarding all absentees in the line to the HR Office for disciplinary action.
  • Ensure AQL right from the beginning
  • Assist daily wise to bringing to HR attention all grievances and performance issues.
  • Assist in maintaining discipline in line accordance with Maagrace Policies and SOPs.
  • Maintain teamwork by showing leadership, communication, organizing, and supporting the team by knowing their weakness and strength.



Compliance & Policies follow-up

  • Managing all overtime requests by supervisor and requesting on-time overtime per the overtime policy.
  • Ensure the supervisors and workers comply with all Maagrace Policies, especially the non-negotiable policy such as anti-harassment, forced labor, and abuse policy.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.



Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Minim of Diploma Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven 5-year track record in supervisory roles, showcasing strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of garment production processes, from pattern making to finishing, with proficiency in various sewing machines.
  • Strong attention to detail, adept at interpreting technical specifications and ensuring compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams, including management and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational prowess to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and uphold ethical standards in a dynamic production setting.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, training, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect in the workplace.
