Job Summary

Apply expert understanding of social science disciplines to implement programs and policies. Translate complex quantitative and qualitative data into concise and comprehensive reports to satisfy various Congressionally mandated diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) and equal opportunity (EO) requirements. Assume responsibility to draft clear data calls for stakeholders across the Department of Defense to provide data necessary to meet reporting requirements and review and assess existing DEIA and EO policy, recommending revisions to address gaps and areas of improvement. Help to create and manage project schedules and inform internal and external stakeholders of updates while also synthesizing feedback from stakeholders into coherent work products. Draft information papers and briefings to communicate report findings and policies to executives. Develop or contribute to solving a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity while also having the opportunity to work independently, with some guidance. Review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Job Description/Requirements

Nice To Have:

  • 2+ years of experience applying contemporary social science and public health research methods, including qualitative and quantitative, to write reports and technical documents
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, working in a military environment, or with Federal government clients
  • Experience working on projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of DEIA policies and programs
  • Ability to translate data into clear, readable documents to be utilized by both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to be a self-starter, effectively manage competing priorities, and thrive in a changing, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Social Science field


Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with analyzing or implementing DEIA policies and programs
  • Experience creating reports, information papers, briefing decks, and other products for senior leader audiences
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense and the Federal Government’s policy development and revision process
  • Knowledge of EEO policies and practices
  • Possession of excellent analytical skills to assess current policies, identify gaps, and provide analytical support for new policy language
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Secret clearance
  • Master’s degree in a Social Science or related field a plus
