Director ? Sports And Recreation Directorate

Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani announces for the information for the general public and interested candidates a vacancy for the position of the Director of University Sports and Recreation of UENR, Sunyani.
The Position

• The Director of Sports in the head of the Sports and Recreation Directorate and shall oversee all sporting activities of the university
  

Qualification Required & Experience
The Applicant must:

• Possess a master's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Management, Health Science or any other relevant discipline
• Possess the highest coaching certificate in a relevant field and
• Have a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification experience in the university or analogous institution as Deputy Director of Sports and Recreation or a minimum of 10 years post professional experience in the university or analogous institution.
  

General Requirements
The person to be appointed as the Director of Sports must:

• Be dynamic, self-motivated and competent with proven ability
• Be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Have the ability to exercise sound judgment
• Exhibit high sense of initiative and managerial and organizational skills
• Have an entrepreneurial drive and be business oriented
• Be a distinguished professional with capacity to motivate and direct staff
• Be digitally literate
  

Terms Of Appointment
The appointment, which is full-time, shall be 5 years in the first instance and may be subject to renewal for another term of up to 5 years. Prospective applicants must be able to serve a full term of 5 years before attaining the compulsory statutory retirement age 60.
