Job Summary

To lead and supervise a team of sales professionals in selling IT products, solutions, and services. The Sales Supervisor ensures the team meets or exceeds sales goals, provides technical guidance, and maintains customer satisfaction, while staying informed about industry trends and innovations.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision:

  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of the sales team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to sales representatives.
  • Ensure the team follows the company’s sales policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, share updates, and address challenges.
  • Set individual and team performance goals, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall targets.


Sales Strategy Implementation:

  • Work with senior management to implement and execute sales strategies.
  • Monitor and ensure the successful execution of sales plans.
  • Develop tactics to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying and targeting key markets and customers.


Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track sales metrics such as revenue generation, lead conversion rates, and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor individual performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare and submit sales performance reports to management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.


Training & Development:

  • Organize ongoing training programs for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills, with a focus on the latest IT solutions and trends.
  • Onboard new sales staff, ensuring they understand the company's portfolio of IT solutions, sales processes, and customer expectation
  • Identify skill gaps in the team and provide targeted training to address them.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Assist the sales team in managing relationships with key clients, ensuring their IT needs are met and building long-term partnerships.
  • Handle escalated client concerns, particularly those related to IT solutions, and ensure they are resolved promptly.
  • Ensure the sales team delivers exceptional customer service and post-sales support.


Sales Operations:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and transactions.
  • Work closely with other departments.
  • Monitor inventory levels (if applicable) and ensure product availability for the team to sell.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT products and services, such as software solutions, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and networking.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record in IT sales with the ability to coach others on selling complex technology solutions.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage, motivate, and guide a sales team to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex IT concepts for clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to handle customer objections and technical challenges in the sales process.
  • Analytical Ability: Proficient in analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to make informed decisions.


Education & Experience:

  • HND or degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, with some experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Team sales performance (meeting or exceeding sales quotas).
  • Customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Sales team productivity and efficiency.
  • Revenue growth and profitability.
