Job Description: International Regional Sales Manager – Minimally Invasive Surgery Products

Position Summary
We are seeking an accomplished and proactive International Regional Sales Manager to lead our minimally invasive surgery product portfolio across multiple regions. This portfolio includes rigid endoscopy, reusable and disposable instruments, and energy platforms with ultrasonic scalpels and surgical staplers. The Sales Manager will be responsible for strategic sales management, distributor channel development, market strategy execution, and achieving revenue targets. This role will also focus on optimizing distributor networks and fostering cross-functional collaboration to maximize business growth and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets, market share, and growth objectives. Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive effective sales plans. Lead business planning with distributors to ensure alignment on goals and priorities, including forecasting and demand planning.
- Distributor Network Development & Management
Oversee the development, management, and optimization of distributor channels within the assigned region.
Identify, select, and onboard high-performing distributors, ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards.
Continuously support and guide distributors to enhance their sales capabilities, product knowledge, and market reach.
- Market Development & Activity Planning
Design and implement targeted marketing activities and events to increase brand visibility and product adoption in key segments.
Work closely with distributors to execute local marketing campaigns, new product launches, and promotional events.
Adapt and localize global marketing strategies to ensure effectiveness in regional markets.
- Distributor Empowerment & Relationship Building
Build strong, productive relationships with key distributor partners to drive mutual success and long-term partnerships.
Lead training initiatives to enhance distributor teams’ understanding of products, customer engagement, and technical knowledge.
Collaborate with distributors to ensure high levels of service, customer satisfaction, and effective sales tactics.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track and analyze regional sales performance, market share, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure objectives are met.
Provide regular reports on sales activities, market insights, and competitive intelligence to senior management.
Adjust strategies and tactics based on performance metrics and feedback to continually drive improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with product management, marketing, technical support, and the Patient Monitoring and Life Support (PMLS) business team to align sales goals and maximize total solution offerings across product lines.
Serve as the primary regional liaison to communicate market requirements, customer feedback, and competitive trends to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of sales management experience in the medical device or minimally invasive surgery sector, with a proven track record in regional sales leadership and distributor management.
Skills
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing multi-country sales regions and distributor networks.
Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
Ability to analyze market trends, make data-driven decisions, and develop actionable strategies.
Effective Communication Skills With Experience In Cross-functional Collaboration.
