Snke3 Technical Expert With Experience In Operation Of Wastewater Plants And Faecal Sludge

The EU-funded Urban Development Technical Facility (UDTF) project is an initiative aimed at supporting partner countries around the world to solve their urban development challenges.

DAI provides advisory, analytical, and technical reviews to the EU for greater coordination and alignment on sustainable urban development. DAI also provides increase knowledge dissemination among all stakeholders, as well as operational support to the EU Platform for Urban Development.

For the assignment in Gnana, DAI will provide support to the EU Delegation of Ghana in Urban Finance assignment - solid waste management. Major areas of focus (which may be modified) will include:

• Financial Analysis for recycling.
• Business model for wastewater plants, including revenue mobilization, financial and market studies on circular economy products.
• Business plan: faecal sludge management plan that will be developed with the client.
• Land Value Capture application in Ghana.

Qualifications and skills

1. Graduate or post-graduate in engineering, environmental sciences, finances, or any other related program with a strong focus in public management or finances.
2. Excellent command of spoken and written English
3. Professional command of spoken and written French and Spanish will be considered as an asset.

Professional Experience

1. Minimum of 10 years of work experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in wastewater plants.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in operation of wastewater plants with faecal sludge treatment, recovery or waste to energy projects linked with faecal sludge, including cogeneration plants, preferable in low- or middle-income countries.
4. Minimum 2 years of experience in Sub Saharan Africa.
5. Experience in working with EU institutions will be considered as an asset.

The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager, DAI Belgium.
