Job Summary
Managing different parts of construction projects, supervising crew members, preparing estimates for time and material costs, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities/Duties
- Supervises and coordinates sub-contractors and other personnel at site.
- Inspects each phase of work to determine if quality standards are met and that trades are completed on schedule.
- Ensure that all work done meets all local building codes and all safety compliance requirements.
- Maintain site logbook to track the timely delivery of subcontractors
- Compile estimates for technical and material requirements for project development
- Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
- Organize materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
- Prepare cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
- Provide technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
- Draw up work plan and communicate any adjustments to crew members and clients.
- Gather data, compile reports, and deliver presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Complete quality assurance and provide feedback to the team.
- Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
- Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
- Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
- Communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
- Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of HND or CTC II in Civil Engineering /Building Technology/Road Engineering.
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as a Site Engineer, Supervisor, or foreman.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
- Must be highly detail-oriented
- Must have the ability to stand pressure
- Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
