Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Acting as the Offshore Managers Deputy when Offshore Manager is not available
• Ensure that all personnel under their direction are aware of their personal responsibilities regarding the performance of their work in a safe manner.
• Ensure best practice towards safe systems of work is implemented. That procedures are followed, risk assessments performed and appropriate time-out for Safety sessions are taken.
• Complete regular safety tours of the working areas and implement actions as necessary to maintain the workplace in a safe manner.
• Maintain a high level of compliance in all personnel under their direction regarding safety and good working practices. o Assist and instruct the Deck Forman during complex operations.
• Carry out tasks as directed by the management within the capabilities and competency of the incumbent.
• The applicant should also have adequate knowledge and experience in the following areas:

a. Compliance

b. Procedural

c. Reporting

d. Administration

e. Personnel Management & Communication

f. HSR Responsibilities emergency response (ER)

Qualification Required:

• Engineering degree or similar tertiary qualification to Higher National Certificate (HNC) standard
• Appropriate electrical or mechanical trade qualification (City and Guilds Level 3, National Vocational)

Years of Experience:

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with relevant operations
