Settlements Officer at First National Bank

The individual will be responsible for assisting the Card Operations Manager by providing support for the total Cards Operations infrastructure for both FNB Issuer and acquiring systems and local interbank links as well as international links and external switches. In addition, this individual will provide operational support to the Front, Middle office and Branches to reduce operational risk and improve operational controls and efficiency in the area

Are You Someone Who Can







Resolve all customer issues or queries efficiently, and within agreed timelines.

Build and maintain an effective working relationship with a variety of stakeholders including Traders, Settlement Agents, International Banks, and Bond Exchange.

Perform trade affirmations, verification, settlement initiation and confirmation of foreign exchange, derivatives, options, bonds, and money market trades.

Reconcile and control positions between dealing and settlement systems.

Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.

Prepare and submit reports relating to activities in area under control for management decision making.

Manage own development to increase own competencies.



You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You







Have relevant degree

Have 2 - 3 years relevant experience in card products and card operations, card payment procedures and general banking operations
