Job Description/Requirements
Tasks:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality COBOL applications and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in existing COBOL applications.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with COBOL in a software development environment.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe environments and transaction processing systems.
- Proficiency in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing COBOL code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
