Job Summary

To accurately process, enter and reconcile accounting documents and information. To maintain accounts in accordance with laid down accounting procedures, standards and accounting schedules to ensure an accurate and timely record of financial transactions. To facilitate the timely preparation of financial statements and reports.

  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Receive monies (fees) and issue receipts in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Prepare receipts for banking and ensure that receipts are credited to appropriate accounts.
  • Prepare and ensure that all accounting vouchers are entered in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Prepare cheques for authorization and payments.
  • Check, reconcile and match documentation for the suppliers and bills.
  • Ensure that suppliers, bills and salaries are paid on time according to the set time limits.
  • Ensure that all transactions are covered by adequate documentation, sanctions and they do not have any deviation.
  • Control capital expenditures in all departments, improving transparency and accountability.
  • Must maintain good relationship with suppliers to avoid anomalies in supply.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of information ensuring that top secret ideas are accorded the confidentiality they deserve.
  • Should attend all management and staff meeting except otherwise stated by the headmaster.
  • Must report to the headmaster.


Qualification Required:

  • Degree
  • Candidates with ACCA Part 2 is an added advantage.
  • High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

NB:

  • Candidates that live around Madina, Haatso and Abgobga its environs are preferred.
  • Candidate must be an Anglican.
