Job Description
The Sales and Marketing Supervisor/head will be responsible for creating sales plans to meet strategic organizational goals and provide strategic solutions for sales. The Sales and Marketing Supervisor/head will also head and oversee the Sales, Promotions, and Marketing department of Bonvas Tours, working together with the advertising, sales, and graphics personnel to generate interest in and enhance the brand Bonvas Tours and its products and services.
Functions/ Roles:
• Plan and coordinate sales efforts aimed at growing Bonvas Tours Limited Sales and Market Share.
• Oversee design/printing of marketing publications.
• Plan new research-based advertising strategies for current and subsequent years that will increase leisure travel market share.
• Develop relationships with national, international, and regional tourism-based publications and writers, tour operators, and travel agents.
• Prepare and release press kit to media; build campaigns and stories for unique selling points.
• Promote attractions & community events to visitors/clients.
• Participate in radio talk shows; provide current and updated information to the press. • Attend meetings, seminars, conventions, and workshops to further knowledge, stay informed of the changes in the tourism industry, and exchange information. • Oversee the processes through which the sales team works with internal and external project owners to develop strategic sales pitches for Bonvas Tours Limited products and services.
• Provide Sales expertise, data, and department process improvements.
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of competition status. • Manage high-level projects and oversee day-to-day activities including lead tracking trade show evaluation and management.
• Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
• Align various sales activities to complement organizational goals and create an achievable and sustainable workload.
• Conduct Performance Reviews.
• Develop special deals (such as buy one item and get another free) and discounts, using graphics and catchy phrases to help create interest.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
• A sales and/or marketing experience of at least five (5) years with a proven track record.
• A Master’s degree in Marketing is desired but not required.
• A Certificate in marketing, advertising, or related field.
• Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
• Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in the Tourism industry.
• Strong computer and technical skills with specific experience in Microsoft Office Suite. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience in Customer Retention Management.
• Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
