Job Summary

We are looking for a forward-thinking Restaurant/Lounge Manager to lead and oversee and manage the daily operations of our restaurant business.

  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma
  • Experience Level: Management level

Job Description/Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hires qualified cooks and wait staff
  • Train new and current restaurant staff per role and proper customer service practices
  • Organizes and oversees the staff schedules.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees accordingly.
  • Coordinating daily restaurant management operations
  • Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints
  • Lead by example and always uplift our staff


  • Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
  • Motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
  • Estimates food and beverage costs and/or budget.
  • Manages inventory by conducting daily counts, and purchases food and supplies.
  • Periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance, schedules for service.
  • Collaborates with chefs/cooks to develop appetizing menus.
  • Maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts.
  • Maintaining and/increase the restaurant’s revenue, profitability, and improve quality goals
  • Prepares and submits weekly and monthly detail operations and expense reports, and other documentation requested by the Restaurant owner(s).
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Promote the brand/restaurant in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Regularly search for new vendors
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Secondary or Tertiary Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous restaurant experience required; management experience preferred.

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
