Research Agronomist
Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified research agronomist who will collaborate with farmers & crop researchers to conduct a detail of crop data. You will be expected to maintain a deep understanding of soil productivity principles and keep tabs on the latest trends and technologies in agronomy. Success in this role will be determined by providing valuable insights that lead to solutions that drive higher crop yields.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Work with operations department, field and product development, technical sales personnel and customers to support and evaluate product performance.
- Plan, schedule, execute, evaluate, analyze, interpret and report results of field trials & experiments
- Document procedures, results & conclusions
- Assist in trial establishment, monitoring, wed control, plot maintenance, agronomist and disease notations and harvest as necessary
- Hold field demonstrations and grower meetings
- Manage field calls regarding product performance and complaints
- Develop innovative research-based techniques in agronomists’ functions and programs
- Create strategies in strengthening crop production and crop management
- Study, access, and evaluate soil chemistry and soil testing
- Initiate newer techniques in soil management processes
- Study & evaluate plants, their biological aspects, and their growth behavior
- Conduct research on the latest trends in crop & soil management
- Develop ways to make crops more pest-resistant
- Develop & implement quality initiatives in agronomist programs
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of agronomy work experience
- In-depth Knowledge of soil and crop principles
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding research and analytical skills
- Effective written & verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Master’s degree in agriculture (specializing in soil science) a plus
