Job Description: Referral & IT Operations Coordinator
Position Overview:
The Referral & IT Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination of patient referrals within an E-health centre and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, which requires a strong focus on hardware management and network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Referral Coordination:
- Facilitate the referral process by ensuring accurate documentation and communication between patients, providers, and external specialists.
- Utilize hospital software systems to manage and track referral workflows efficiently.
- Act as the primary liaison between clinical teams and external facilities to resolve referral-related issues promptly.
IT Operations:
- Hardware Management:
- Oversee the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware, including computers, servers, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Conduct routine inspections and upgrades of hardware components to ensure optimal performance and compliance with organizational standards.
- Manage inventory of IT hardware, ensuring timely procurement and replacement of devices.
- Network Operations:
- Monitor and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions to operations.
- Collaborate with external vendors or IT service providers to implement upgrades or resolve complex network issues.
- System Support:
- Provide first-level technical support to staff, addressing hardware and network concerns swiftly.
- Train staff on the proper use of IT systems and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
- Ensure data security and confidentiality through appropriate hardware and network configurations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of IT hardware management experience, with network operations exposure.
- Experience in healthcare or hospital settings is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues (PCs, servers, peripherals).
- Strong understanding of network configurations.
- Knowledge of IT security protocols and data protection measures.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clinical teams and external partners.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
