Job Summary
Golden Bean Hotel is a three-star Business & Leisure Hotel with 51 guestrooms of different categories and centrally located in Kumasi. The hotel is set in serene environment surrounded by tropical gardens ideal for both business and leisure guests. The hotel offers various business and relaxation facilities such as a restaurant, pool bar, swimming pool, gymnasium, meeting rooms for up to 800 delegates.

Job Description/Requirements
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To maintain at all times a very high standard of personal appearance.
2. Perform late shift cashiering duties as per Standard policies and procedures
3. Close and control receipts from all point of sales.
4. Prepare cash Drops
5. Execute the last postings and the last transfers to income Auditor/receivables.
6. Check and verify all postings with Vouchers.
7. Account for all Guest Registration cards and ensure their proper filing
8. Execute the Night Run to charge room + breakfast revenue.
9. To engage guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their request.
10. To receive, speak to and check in guests, using reservation lists; process and provide key cards.
11. To make reservations over the phone and in person and ensure all aspects of the room reservation procedures are followed, including bookings, confirmation and cancellation policies.
12. To register guests in the correct manner and have them shown to their rooms.
13. Check out leaving guests; provide and receive settlement of guest’s bills.
14. To provide information and address guest’s service needs:
i. provide general and tourist information, information on transport, restaurants and the like
ii. provide wake-up calls and music and video services and car rental services
iii. take and pass on messages for house and guests
iv. Listening to guest’s complaints or concerns and resolving their issues in a timely manner.
15. To process payments of bills.
16. To hand over cash register at close of shift and account for received moneys and credit card payments.
17. To be responsible for cash float if available throughout your shift and ensure all floats balance correctly at the end of shift.
18. Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.
19. Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls in timely and professional manner while providing basic information when needed.
20. Empty pit of all checked out rooms and properly file folio of checked out guests.
21. Ensure that all other approved documents, receipts and requests are properly filed.
22. Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualification, Experience and Abilities
• A degree in Accounting or administration or equivalent qualification.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with guests who visit the hotel.
• A minimum of (3) three years work experience in a hotel setting.
• Experience in handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
• Ability, knowledge and competent to use opera effectively.
