A Reputable Company seeks the services of a Quantity Surveyor to monitor and keep track of project progress and be responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract for agreement of interim payments and the final accounts

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Preparation of tender documents for tender
- Advising management and site managers on technical issues
- Preparation of claims and payment certificates for works done
- Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required and labor involved (job costing)
- Responsible to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered on schedule
- Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget
- Monitor and keep track of project progress and be responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract for agreement of interim payments and the final accounts
- Access viability of project about to undertake
- Writing and responding to letters to client and following up on corresponded from client and consultant
- Attending site, project meeting and tender openings
- Preparation of works program for site
- Any other duties that may be assigned
Qualification and Requirements
- A Degree from KNUST is required
- At least 2 years of experience
- A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork
- The ability to negotiate
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Must be willing to travel
