Job Description

• Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Paddy Procurement/ Out grower Model owners
• Direct and coordinate daily activities of the unit in procurement and ensuring responsible sourcing within the area of operations.
• Lead Paddy Procurement through Direct Purchase from commercial farmers, farm input providers and Out grower model.
• Lead a team of procurement officers and build engagement with aggregators below them.
• Set weekly procurement targets for the procurement officers and put measures in place to achieve them
• Handle season’s procurement targets with farming input providers.
• Managing/cost control of procurement activities
• Reporting zonal procurement statistics and weekly paddy prices for major paddy growing areas.
• Planning and Organizing logistics/funds for procurement
• Ensuring that goods procured meet company/contract requirements
• Monitoring procurement activities of procurement officer and ensuring integrity of goods purchased
• Reporting on local market dynamics during and after the season
• Developing and maintaining Aggregator Data base region wise with relevant details about procurement capacity and sphere of control.
• Assisting the BH in planning/budgeting
• Analyse procurement data and send reports.

Educational Requirements

• Master’s degree/MBA in Procurement/Agric/Natural Resource/Agri Business
• Minimum of 5 years working in a similar position and/or in the paddy/ cashew industry
• This position demands lots of travelling to major paddy growing areas. The person while will be based out of Volta or Navrongo.
