Job Description/Requirements
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
To provide regular maintenance & production support for Coca-Cola's bottling line equipment in order to ensure production equipment reliability and efficiency.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out trials for acceptance on any of the equipment after every breakdown or preventive maintenance activity has been carried out, before handing over for used by the Production Section.
- Supervising planned maintenance activities (i.e. on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly annual basis).
- Monitoring the performance of each Bottling Line equipment by way of moving round them in course of daily runs (watching, feeling, listening and reading of parameters).
- Supervising Operator Technician and the machinist to repair broken down equipment mechanically in a safe, standardized and economical way.
- Supervising all daily activities of Operator Technician and the machinist.
- Operating some bottling line equipment in the absence of any of the certified Technician Operators or the machinist.
- Writing request for materials, spares, stationary overtimes etc., and controlling the use of such materials and spares after taking delivery from the stores.
- Co-ordinating effectively between the supervisor, the operator technician s/machinist.
- Reporting to the supervisor on the performance of each of the bottling equipment to enable him to plan the periodical maintenance activities.
- Presenting a monthly report on all activities and occurrences in the Section.
- Ensure Quality, Environmental & Occupational Safety and Health (QEOSH) & Food Safety compliance on site
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
A minimum of a Diploma/HND in Mechanical Engineering Technician, with 2 years post-qualification experience. Work experience on the production line in the Beverage Industry would be an advantage
