Operations Manager

Job Summary

A key member of management, accountable for the internal delivery of smooth service to the various departments. He / she is a key decision-maker in Sales, business development, and implementation of strategic plans, mitigating business risks, accountable to agreed business targets, and ensuring the overall profitability of the Strategic Business Unit.

  • Minimum Qualification: Degree
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities of the various departments in the company (Logistics and customer care)
  • Ensure the achievement of monthly and quarterly sales by providing the necessary support to the marketing and commercial department.
  • A key member in the development of new markets
  • A key member in the development of new products
  • A key member in the development of strategies, plans and action programs to achieve sales targets
  • Ensure the profitability of new and existing products and services
  • A lead in market intelligence for the company
  • Submit weekly, monthly, quarterly progress reports
  • Improve and ensure customer retention and growth
  • Represents the Business unit at key functions, customer interfacing where need be and stakeholder engagements
  • Lead on research and development
  • Managing the operations team
  • Ensure prudent management of company’s resources
  • Oversee the work of the Vendor Relations and logistics Officer
  • Any other duties that may be assigned

  • A Basic Degree or Diploma in Business Administration (project management option) from a recognized Tertiary Institution PLUS a minimum of 5 Years corporate experience, 2 years of which should have been in a managerial capacity. A Masters’ Degree is an advantage
