We have opportunity for qualified and experienced professionals to join our Nursing Department in the underlisted positions.
· Senior Midwifery Officer
· Senior Nursing Officer
· Nursing Officer (Emergency Nurse)
· Nursing Officer (Peri-operative Nurse)

· Staff Midwife
1. SENIOR MIDWIFERY OFFICER
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To provide leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of midwifery care in the ward/unit in accordance with required standards
- Ensure maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment for patient care within the ward/unit and promote the rights of both patients and nurses in the unit.
- Ensure efficient management of human and material resources for midwifery service delivery in the unit
- Organize and manage midwifery care in the ward/unit, ensuring all patients are treated with respect and dignity
- Ensure proper documentation of midwifery activities and participate in ward rounds
- Ensure the availability of the right skill mix for the delivery of quality midwifery care for all shifts
- Investigate incident reports on patient care safety and counsel staff accordingly
- Ensure maintenance of unit stock and inventory of specialized items to ensure availability at all times.
- Ensure confidentiality of information for all patients as per the AGAHF confidentiality policy
- Ensure high clinical standards are met in the provision of midwifery services cost-effectively
- Supervise nurses and other staff in the ward/unit and assess their training needs to upgrade skills
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers for optimum midwifery and nursing care in the facility
- Maintain up to date knowledge in area of specialization through continuing professional development.
- Undertake any other nursing and administrative duties as assigned by the Nursing Manageress
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Midwifery from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Must be a Registered Midwife and possess a Professional Identity Number (PIN).
- TWO (2) year work experience as a Senior Midwifery Officer in a recognized institution.
- Member of and in good standing with Ghana Registered Nurses Association.
2. SENIOR NURSING OFFICER
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

3. NURSING OFFICER (EMERGENCY NURSING)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate emergency and critical nursing care and contribute to the efficient management of the ward
- Ensure proper documentation of nursing activities and participate in ward rounds
- Planning of care and use of appropriate medical equipment to nurse and treat the critically and or acutely ill
- Participate in emergency response team training and set up.
- Ensure confidentiality of information for all patients as per the AGAHF confidentiality policy
- Ensure high clinical standards are met in the provision of emergency nursing care cost-effectively
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers for optimum nursing care in the facility
- Maintain up to date knowledge in area of specialization through continuing professional development.
- Undertake any other nursing and administrative duties assigned by the Nursing Manageress
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
- Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Emergency Nursing from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Must be a Registered Midwife and possess a Professional Identity Number (PIN).
- ONE (1) year work experience as an emergency nurse post rotation or national service.
- Member of and in good standing with Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association.
4. NURSING OFFICER (PERI-OPERATIVE NURSE)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assess patients pre- and post-operatively, develop and implement individualized care plans, and ensure patients are prepared for surgery and receive high-quality, patient-centered care during recovery.
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care during surgical procedures, including monitoring patients' vital signs, managing anesthesia, and maintaining asepsis.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of all peri-operative and nursing activities
- Educate patients and their families on postoperative care, medication management, and follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive, high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes, reduce complications, and enhance overall quality of perioperative care.
- Contribute to the development, review, and revision of policies and procedures related to perioperative care.
- Maintain up to date knowledge in area of specialization through continuing professional development.
- Undertake any other nursing and administrative duties assigned by the Nursing Manageress
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Peri-Operative Nursing from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Must be a Registered Peri-Operative Nurse and have a Professional Identity Number (PIN).
- ONE (1) year work experience as a Peri-Operative Nurse
- Member of and in good standing with Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association.
5. STAFF MIDWIFE
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate obstetric and gynaecological nursing care and contribute to the efficient management of the ward
- Ensure proper documentation of midwifery activities
- Ensure high clinical standards are met in the provision of midwifery services cost-effectively
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers for optimum midwifery and nursing care services
- Undertake and participate in Clinical Care Supervision
- Maintain up to date knowledge in area of specialization through continuing professional development.
- Undertake any other nursing and administrative duties assigned by the Nursing Manageress
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Midwifery from a recognized and accredited institution
- Must be a Registered Midwife and have a Professional Identity Number (PIN).
- TWO (2) year work experience as a Registered Midwife post rotation
- Member of and in good standing with Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association.
6. STAFF NURSE
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care and contribute to the efficient management of the ward
- Ensure proper documentation of nursing activities
- Ensure high clinical standards are met in the provision of general nursing care services cost-effectively
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers for optimum nursing care services in the facility
- Undertake and participate in Clinical Care Supervision
- Maintain up to date knowledge in area of specialization through continuing professional development.
- Undertake any other nursing and administrative duties assigned by the Nursing Manageress (DDNS)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in General Nursing from a recognized and accredited training institution
- Must be a Registered General Nurse and have a Professional Identity Number (PIN).
- TWO (2) year work experience as a Registered Midwife post rotation
- Member of and in good standing with Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association.

- Knowledge and understanding of GHS patient charter, Quality Assurance and clinical audit processes
- Knowledge of Basic Life Support, Health and Safety and GHS clinical protocols
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills
- Knowledgeable in computer applications including Electronic Medical Records System
- Commitment to quality patient care and professional attitude towards patients and staff
