Job Description/Requirements
The MEL&A Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the development, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability activities across the organization. You will work closely with program teams to ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting, while promoting a culture of learning and adaptive management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of MEL strategies, frameworks, and plans for various projects.
- Ensure robust data collection, analysis, and reporting systems that track progress toward program objectives and outcomes.
- Provide technical oversight for baseline, mid-term, and final evaluations, including managing consultants or evaluation teams.
- Learning & Adaptation:
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptation within the organization, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into future program design and implementation.
- Organize and facilitate learning workshops and reflection sessions for program teams and stakeholders.
- Accountability:
- Lead efforts to ensure transparency and accountability to both beneficiaries and donors through effective feedback mechanisms.
- Develop systems for monitoring and addressing stakeholder concerns and complaints.
- Reporting & Knowledge Management:
- Prepare high-quality MEL reports for internal stakeholders, donors, and other partners, highlighting key findings, insights, and recommendations.
- Manage knowledge-sharing platforms within the organization to ensure lessons learned and best practices are documented and accessible.
- Capacity Building:
- Provide training and capacity-building support to staff on MEL processes, tools, and techniques.
- Build the capacity of partners and other stakeholders in the areas of MEL, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related).
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in MEL management within grassroot development, or a similar sector.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing MEL systems, frameworks, and tools.
- Knowledge of Outcome Harvesting is highly desirable, as well as experience in using it to measure complex or adaptive interventions.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using statistical software and data visualization tools.
- Experience in managing evaluations (baseline, midterm, and final) and familiarity with participatory evaluation methods.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in multicultural and diverse teams.
- Familiarity with donor regulations and compliance requirements related to MEL
