Job Summary

The Marketing Manager’s primary objective is to manage the day to day marketing activities of Simbisa Brands Ghana Ltd with the ultimate goal of developing and maintaining a long-lasting, loyal relationship between the business’s brands and its customers.

  • Experience Length: 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Task / Responsibilities:

  • Brand Positioning

- Support the brand vision, positioning, architecture and to contribute to overall business goals

- Develop and implement a plan to improve competitive distinctiveness

  • Brand Development

-  Analyse and manage the brand perception in the market

-  Develop a customer relationship plan with the target market

  • Digital marketing strategy and implementation

- Develop and implement online content and messaging strategy

- Explore online marketing channels

-  Real-time response to customer feedback

  • In-store communication

-  Develop integrated messaging

- Ensure brand guidelines are followed

- Staff should be ‘selling’ the promotions

  • Brand Awareness

- Build and implement a brand awareness strategy

  • Customer experience

- Develop and implement systems of interaction between the business and the customers

- Use the systems to continuously monitor and enhance customer ‘wow’ moments/experiences

  • Customer acquisition and retention

- Develop methodologies to establish what new customer numbers are

- Track what customer retention rates are

- Establish values of these as a % of revenue and of marketing spend

  • Create an annual marketing plan within the company’s strategic plan and budget

- Liaise with various heads of departments specifically with Operations in order to get buy-in and successful execution

- Liaise with Finance Manager for budget limits

Key Competencies:
In order to achieve the above, the Market Lead must possess the below qualities and/or skills:

  • Be passionate about, and an ambassador for the brands and they're potential
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Creative critique and the ability to think ‘outside of the box'
  • A thorough understanding of digital customer segmentation
  • Take the lead with regard to encouraging ownership of the brand policies and procedure
  • Sound understanding of budgets and financial analysis
