Summary 

The Marketing & Creative Manager will oversee all aspects of the marketing programs and initiatives that the Ghana Marketing team produces. This candidate will possess an expert understanding of digital marketing, specifically SEO, SEM and Social Media Marketing. They will have a proven record of leading teams in demand/lead generation and loyalty programs through various marketing channels.

 

The Marketing & Creative Manager will also have an expert understanding of creative development, specifically, graphic design, video production, website development, print & digital collateral and general branding. This candidate will possess experience in managing creative teams in their career and understand how to elevate a brand through visual and content identity.

 

The Marketing & Creative Manager will manage the Ghana Marketing team to serve the following business lines: consumer marketing, franchise recruiting marketing and internal marketing.

For the consumer business line, the Marketing & Creative Manager will manage process development, creative development, campaign management (from planning to evaluation), franchisee training programs and the Ghana Marketing team personnel and output with oversight from the Marketing Director. This candidate will bring with them a proven track record of leading teams in successful full-scope digital and traditional marketing campaign management. These activities will ultimately support the company lead generation and revenue royalty goals.

 

This position requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, graphic design or related field
  • Minimum of 10-15 years’ marketing experience
  • Minimum of five years’ in marketing team management of a lead/demand generation team consisting of project managers, SEO specialists, social media marketers, Google ads specialists.
  • Minimum of five years’ in marketing team management of creative development team consisting of graphic/multimedia designer, copywriter, project manager, videographer, web developer.
  • Minimum of five years’ of marketing writing experience.

 

This position will collaborate with all departments in a team spirit, with care for people, with the end goal of increasing growth and profitability for the organization and its franchise network, while at the same time delivering the organization’s brand position, mission and vision in accordance with its Code of Values™. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

This individual should have a high attention to detail and be a strategic thinker. The candidate should possess the ability for driving projects to completion within a designated time frame and with the project specifications met, both individually and through a team. The individual must possess exceptional computer skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to manage and meet the demands of a fast-paced office by multitasking, remaining flexible and meeting multiple deadlines under pressure is a must.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  •  Fully manage the day to day operations of the Ghana Marketing team various marketing programs in the purview of the Marketing & Creative Manager
  • Implementation of the Storybrand SB 7 Framework & Marketing Made Simple Deliverables: One Liner, website wireframe(s), lead nurture funnel(s), sales funnel(s) and lead generator(s).
  • Implementing and evaluating full-scope digital and traditional marketing campaign management including, but not limited to: research & planning of tactics, project team members and mediums; execution of marketing and attribution for evaluation; and evaluating success.
  • Ensure the visual identity of the organization representative of an industry influencer in accordance to the company values
  • Ensure the editorial/content identity of the organization representative of an industry influencer in accordance to the company values
  • Hiring & Managing Marketing Personnel for Ghana Marketing team.
  • Develop a clear understanding of and maximize messaging for each business line.
  • Successfully execute and evaluate the following from the direction of the Marketing Director:

a.     Messaging strategy

b.     Funnel creation and evaluation

c.     Visual Brand Identity standards

d.     Accurate & Complete Attribution for all franchisees for all lead generation channels

e.     Marketing Generalists franchisee support plans and tactics

f.      Marketing/Technology Innovations


  • Manage & Build Processes including:

a.     Ghana Marketing team process workflows for supporting franchisees one on one via meetings and one-off support requests.

b.     Ghana Marketing team process workflows for supporting franchisees via behind the scenes tactical execution.

c.      Ghana Marketing team training.

d.     New franchisee support processes.

  • Work in tandem with the organization’s Marketing Strategist and American Marketing Team to implement successful marketing programs and tactics for first year marketing plans and existing franchisee marketing support.
  • Ensure attribution across all digital channels for consumer marketing is properly implemented and evaluated in the organization CRM
  • Ensure brand standard material is kept up to date so franchisees and corporate staff understand the brand standard for compliance.
  • Full “ownership” of and responsibility for the organization’s digital marketing and online presence and growth, including but not limited to:

a.  Oversight of the ongoing process of enhancing and optimizing the corporate consumer website, franchisees’ websites by partnering with web design vendor/in house developer to increase consumer experience and lead generation, owning the website design, details and functionality.

b.  Website set up for new franchise locations.

c.  Daily management of websites and updates including server maintenance and content edits.

d.  Increase SEO keyword and key phrase rankings via Title and Meta Tag Optimization, blog writing and implementation across all franchisee sites, and Local Directory Management for all franchisees.

e.  Daily management of social media including posting plans per week for all locations depending on individual owner participation, plus social media posts for franchise recruiting.

f.  Set up, support, and billing of enrollment in PPC and social media advertising including management of landing pages, attribution, and email drip campaigns.

e. For both franchisees and corporate franchise recruiting, monthly reporting and assessment of website functionality including lead generation and conversion rates; and suggestions on how to continually improve conversion rate and increase quantity and quality of leads.

f.  Training and individual support to franchisees on their marketing. An example could include training franchisees on managing their own web pages and social media

  • Present Monthly Reports to Director of Marketing on the following:
    • Reputation Management (Review Scores, Review Solicitation, Review Response)
    • Overall and Franchisee Keyword Rankings
    • Consumer Website Traffic, Leads, conversion rate, bounce rate
    • Marketing Stats Report by Lead Source from CRM
    • Marketing Stats Report by Lead Detail from CRM
    • Ghana Marketing team output via completed ROCKS and Deliverables
  • Update Corporate Leadership, MAP committee and franchisees regarding marketing efforts and ROI in both written and verbal form.
  • Perform other duties as required, which may include assignments in job classifications other than that of the Marketing & Creative Manager

 

 

Reporting Level 

This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing. This position may at times, indirectly report to various members of the organization related to special projects and assignments that support company goals.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

Manage the Ghana Marketing team members in addition to any marketing partners that are deemed by the Marketing Director under the Marketing & Creative Manager purview.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, graphic design or related field
  • Minimum of 10-15 years’ marketing experience
  • Minimum of five years’ in marketing team management of a lead/demand generation team consisting of project managers, SEO specialists, social media marketers, Google ads specialists.
  • Minimum of five years’ in marketing team management of creative development team consisting of graphic/multimedia designer, copywriter, project manager, videographer, web developer.
  • Minimum of five years’ of marketing writing experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media marketing through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
  • Advanced knowledge of content management systems Wordpress and HubSpot and database management systems.
  • Successful experience advertising on google pay per click and facebook advertising.
  • Proficient ability to create and edit art files in Adobe Creative Cloud programs including: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Experience in project management programs through Asana, Trello or similar programs.
  • Advanced understanding of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console. Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio
  • Advanced Understanding of Keyword Tracking & Research through Bright Local, SEM RUSH, or tools similar.
  • Advanced understanding of cloud storage platforms such as Dropbox, Box or Google Drive
  • Advanced understanding of Customer Relationship Management platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, or Microsoft Dynamics and how to track lead/demand generation programs.
  • Humble, Hungry & Smart team player and leader
  • Extensive project management experience with individual and complex projects, managing deliverables from multiple parties to achieve project milestones and ultimately timely completion.
  • Experience in social media post creation and posting through HootSuite, SOCi, Loomly, Buffer or similar programs.

 

The following four experiences are ideal, but not required:

  • Masters Degree in marketing, advertising or related field.
  • Experience building and implementing Storybrand SB7 Framework deliverables.
  • Exposure to the remodeling industry, knowledge of bathroom and kitchen products.
  • Knowledge of the franchising business model
  • Experience bringing an organization through a brand refresh or rebrand

 

Communication Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, as well as ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to patiently coach and teach to business owners who don’t understand nor enjoy marketing.
  • Strong negotiating skills with marketing vendors.
  • Effective in conflict communication and resolution with franchisees and team members.
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to consistently communicate clear expectations (due dates / scope of work criteria / meeting frequency) and hold other parties, both internal and external, accountable to the agreed-upon results.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to compute rates, ratios percentages for necessary marketing and business metrics computing and evaluation.

 

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply United States American common sense understanding in which to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with issues involving several variables under pressure and with intense deadlines.
  • Analytical ability to regularly measure results and lead changes needed to increase results.

Compensation

This is a full-time salaried position, including benefits, with the organization.
