IT Sales and Business Development Lead

Job Summary

HIPOerp is a UK company house registered Tech Start-Up with the intention of providing Bespoke Database/IT solutions to small and medium businesses. We are now looking for an IT Sales and Business Development professional to take the lead in the generation of new sales.

Job Description

You will initially be the sole sales representative responsible for helping HIPOerp gain it’s first set of clients. The role will be starting from the ground up and you will be expected to work under your own initiative through the full sales lifecycle from the initial sourcing/gathering of potential leads to the closure of deals. Should the role progress you will be highly involved in further Business Development and Customer Relationship Management.


Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership

  • Source/Generate leads, drive sales opportunities and close sales deals while effectively managing existing prospects.
  • Maximise networking opportunities to create awareness and develop relevant contacts to enhance business development and sales.
  • Prepare and submit high quality service proposals, presentations, bids and tenders.
  • Develop efficient sales processes and identify opportunities to improve or innovate sales processes and act accordingly.
  • Provide pre-sales demonstrations, presentation and after-sales engagements.
  • Participate actively in marketing activities to create, implement and track successful marketing campaigns to drive sales.
  • Champion the development and implementation of robust strategic, tactical and operational for sales and business development activities of the company.
  • Identify key trends and developments and regularly update the Leadership and bring ideas on new business opportunities or better way to deal with challenges.
  • Maximise networking opportunities to create awareness and develop relevant contacts to enhance business development and sales.
  • Assist in the development of sales targets

 

2. Business Development

  • Prepare and submit high quality service proposals, presentations, bids and tenders.
  • Develop and maintain good employee relations through effective communication and consultation
  • Review processes, identify efficiencies and streamline service delivery to maximise client satisfaction across all products and service areas.
  • Identify and propose for consideration new products and services to expand the company’s products and service delivery and profitability.
  • Provide market, industry and competitive analysis and stay informed of competitive and collaborative products in the marketplace.
  • Be active member in the product development process; help identify blue oceans, gather clients’ inputs, develop appropriate documents, build prototypes, fine-tune concepts and ensure full products or services delivery.

 

 

3.   Customer Relationship Management

  • Promote high standard of customer satisfaction and establish a long-term connection with clients to keep them dedicated and attached to the company.
  • Assist in the design of our CRM platform
  • Deliver a structured customer services and sales management engagements to establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients to grow revenues.
  • Ensure the accurate processing of customer quotations, orders, and order confirmations on time.
  • Ensure that all customer inquiries are satisfactorily managed, resolved and closed within the shortest possible time.
  • Perform a proactive liaison role between customers and back-office technical team to address customer issues on timely manner.
  • Interact periodically with clients to analyze and establish ongoing needs and to assist clients to better understand our products and services.



The Ideal Candidate will

  • Have a minimum of 5 years sales experience with at least 2 years within IT sales specifically
  • Have the skills and knowledge to conduct Buyer Research
  • Have excellent prospecting skills and approach
  • Have be a confident and professional communicator with excellent active listening skills
  • Be able to collaborate effective with other staff members
  • A keen interest in IT and technology with good understanding Business IT systems and general knowledge of database applications. This will be essential as you will need to learn the basics of our system design approach and will be required to make some in system/configuration changes for clients


Desirable:
Knowledge and experience with the day to day use of CRM systems


NB: Some travel within the Accra region may be required for both prospecting and client meetings depending on the current COVID situation.
