Job Description/Requirements

A leading Ghanaian indigenous company, we provide end to end logistics solutions at all sea and airports to and from the world and a one-stop shop for all Logistics needs. We are based in Tema, Accra and Takoadi. 


ROLES DEFINITION & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Basic maintenance of servers
  • Working closely with the Systems Administrator on server and networking projects and issues
  • Assisting in integrating and implementing a range of technical updates
  • Installing new IT equipment and software
  • Troubleshooting level 1 and 2 issues
  • Providing face-to-face and remote IT support
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks in the offices
  • Talk others through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Replace parts as required, follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Support installation and configuration of computer systems and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Information Technology and at least two years of working experience
  • A minimum of 2 years working in a help support role for levels 1-3
  • Proficiency with computers, ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of both Mac and PC
  • Experience supporting Windows environments and Active Directory, router and switch administration, installation and configuration of software and hardware
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Good report writing skills
  • Use of drone and other equipment for documentation of projects
