A Reputable Pharmaceutical Company is seeking to recruit a suitable, motivated and results oriented Person for the Position of an Internal Audit Officer. You will report to the Internal Auditor

  • Minimum Qualification:HND
  • Experience Level:Mid level
  • Experience Length:2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in gathering relevant information during audit phase to obtain a good understanding of the process to be audited.
  • Participate in scoping meetings with auditees to explain and refine the scope and objectives of the audit engagement.
  • Draft the audit announcement memo.
  • Draft flowcharts and/or process narratives to document IA’s understanding of the business process to be audited.
  • Identify basic inherent risks and expected mitigation controls.
  • Draft test plan and procedures for use during audit fieldwork to assess control design and operation.
  • Participate in defining and preparing audit samples for testing.
  • Participate in performing audit tests and prepare working papers in accordance with PRG IA methodology.
  • Make a basic evaluation of the adequacy of process design and the effectiveness of controls in meeting business and control objectives. Identify and document control and process weaknesses as supported by available evidence.
  • Propose recommendations to address control weaknesses or gaps.
  • Draft write-ups of audit findings in line with PRG IA methodology
  • Assist the IA to engage auditees on the provision of management actions.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Personal integrity with strong ethical values, objective and independent.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking capability.
  • Capable of working independently and with minimum supervision where required.
  • Good self and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop self and pay attention to details.


Educational Qualification and Relevant Experience

  • HND preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance with 2-3 years’ experience or
  • First Degree, preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance with 1 – 2 years’ experience
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
