Job Description/Requirements

What You Become a Part Of:

The successful candidate will manage and cultivate key relationships within the healthcare professional (HCP) community in Ghana, driving pharmaceutical promotions and scientific demand generation efforts to meet or surpass Shalina’s commercial targets for the assigned pharmaceutical product portfolio.

What to Expect:

  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate in developing a roadmap for business growth in the assigned region.
  • Brand Development: Build brand stories and lead the marketing campaign strategy for new and existing brands.
  • Sales Leadership: Create and implement effective sales strategies, leading the nationwide sales team toward achieving company sales objectives.
  • Competition Strategy: Participate in designing competition-fighting strategies and execute them effectively; prepare annual sales plans targeting overall budgeted sales values in existing geographies.
  • Demand Generation: Ensure demand generation for all products by developing and monitoring the implementation of marketing strategies, policies, pricing structures, and promotional events.
  • Market Penetration: Lead the development of market penetration plans for new or existing products.
  • Customer Influence: Influence large volume customers, industries, and other potential large sales prospects.
  • Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities by maintaining data on market trends, product applications, service needs, and competitive intelligence.
  • Product Portfolio Management: Develop and implement the product portfolio for existing products, implementing strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand existing ones across a wide range of products.
  • P&L Responsibility: Manage P&L responsibility for the assigned sales budgets, including the product portfolio.

Essential Skills, Experience & Education:

  • Educational Background: Graduation in Medicine or Pharmacy. Masters is an added advantage
  • Professional Experience: 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, brand building, and market penetration in Ghana.
  • Promotional Experience: Prior experience with scientific promotions, building brands, and fostering relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) is highly preferred.
  • Self-Motivated: A self-starter with the ability to stay independently motivated and deliver on assigned mandates.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of building and driving high-performing sales teams.
  • Cross-Cultural Experience: Experience working cross-culturally and cross-functionally with diverse colleagues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
