We are a well-established multinational company with a strong presence in Africa. As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Tema. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your HR expertise within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities


>Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Prepare job advertisements and screen CVs.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new employees and offboarding for leavers.
  • Conduct background checks and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Support the creation and updating of job descriptions.

>Performance Management & Benefits

  • Assist with setting individual objectives and year-end performance reviews.
  • Coordinate employee training sessions.
  • Conduct research on compensation and manage employee benefits.
  • Support employee and stakeholder satisfaction surveys.

>Employee Relations

  • Address employee grievances and concerns.
  • Help organize team meetings and events to foster positive workplace relationships.

>HR Administration

  • Assist in policy development, updates, and dissemination.
  • Track employee attendance, leave, and payroll processes.
  • Maintain HR files, recruitment records, and the HRIS system (e.g., Lucca).
  • Support communication with external service providers and key labor stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing HR events and visibility programs.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Social Sciences (HR certification is an advantage).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in staffing, employee performance management, and HR administration.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations, and compensation and benefits.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiar with HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
