Job Summary

Superside is expanding its Video Services department and is looking for a hands-on Head of Video Strategy to build best practices and standards within the team. Our goal is to create hassle-free video for a wide variety of our customers’ digital video marketing needs. As we’re growing and iterating rapidly, we need a video strategist who will oversee the strategic development of all work in the video services function. Reporting to the VP of Video Services, you will be responsible for setting the standard for executing video marketing that drives success for our customers.

Job Description/Requirements

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to defining a world-class video proposition for Superside based on customer needs
  • Act as center of excellence for the video marketing strategy within the team and be the resource person for best practices
  • Lead and develop a team of amazing video strategists who can ensure consistency of quality strategic advice for our customers
  • Oversee strategic insights for customer project work through brief-ideation-pitching- production-delivery phases
  • Offer strategic input to our content creation teams to guide creative thinking and enable teams to deliver insight and data-driven creative work
  • Research & keep up-to-date with the latest trends on social platforms & in digital video marketing to deliver valued insight to our customers
  • Collaborate with partner teams, problem-solve on behalf of the department, and be a thought leader on video marketing strategy across the company
  • Become a trusted advisor on account teams, and advise customers on how to best optimize the video on their platforms
  • Articulate & defend strategic direction when needed and provide insight and leadership to successfully grow and develop customers


What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 7+ years working in the video industry with specific experience in the digital/social media strategy space - a mix of agency/in-house /production company would be beneficial
  • At least 3 years at team leadership level helping to build scalable processes and high-performing teams
  • Demonstrable experience in advising high-profile brands on their digital marketing/video strategy
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, audience development strategies and video marketing optimization to drive tangible results
  • Excellent English verbal & written communication with the ability to present insight with clarity
  • Passion for keeping at the forefront of the digital video/media platform landscape
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and customer teams to meet deadlines
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Big-picture thinking and curiosity for the video industry, always seeking out what’s new
