Should you join us, you will play a pivotal role in establishing us as the most important player in the auto sector in Africa. You can’t be average! You must also be an inspirational leader capable of mentoring, training and elevating young talent and shaping the next generation of operations leaders. Successful candidates will have experience working as a global operator across multiple countries with an ability to build relationships effortlessly. We require that you have at least 10+ years experience working in operations, sales or business development, at reputable multinationals or other growth-stage startups that have redefined their industry. Successful candidates MUST possess a strong track record of not only meeting targets but shattering them at every company they have been at.
What does the job involve
- Architect and execute innovative operational and sales strategies that help us build the largest network of auto part merchants and partners in Africa.
- Cultivate a culture of excellence within the operations teams, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
- Build, train, and manage a high-performing operations team across supply chain, sales, customer support, commercial and other related teams
- Drive a culture of continuous experimentation and improvement.
- Lead high-level negotiations, exuding confidence and expertise that instills trust and secures deals.
- Regularly analyze large data sets from various sources to drive business decision
- Set strong KPI and systems of accountability to drive discipline execution
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards for our industry
- Close high level enterprise distribution deals and contracts
- Drive digital transformation, automation and technology integration in all facets of operations
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures across operations
- Manage operational budgets effectively
- Develop and maintain contingency plans for potential operational disruptions
- Develop scalable operational models to support market expansion
- Other duties as requested by your supervisor
Qualifications
- A proven winner with minimum 10+ years experience in operations, sales or business development at a reputable multinational or growth stage startup redefining their industry.
- A globe-trotter who has navigated diverse markets and cultures, with a deep understanding of the nuances involved in international business.
- An exceptional communicator and coach.
- Exception analytics skills with ability to analyze large complex data sets to drive decision-making
- A visionary thinker, always a step ahead, anticipating market shifts and aligning strategies accordingly.
- Resilient, adaptable, and driven, leader with a relentless pursuit of excellence and an unwavering commitment to achieving the extraordinary.
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in business or other discipline from a reputable school (MBA for global reputable school preferred)
- Superior problem-solving skills with an ability to see around corners and come up with unconventional solutions to the hardest problems
- A leader with experience leading turnarounds at companies
