Job Summary
As the Head of Finance, your key responsibility will involve the co-ordination and supervisor of the Finance and Human Resource and Administration of the Company.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Annual Corporate and Business Units Budgets.
- Ensure the implementation of sound financial policies and procedures.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement for the attention of the Management and Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with Bank of Ghana regulatory notices and other statutory returns.
- Formulate a corporate strategy for the Company.
- Supervise the treasury functions of the Company and ensure optimal utilization of funds.
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts.
- Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that the assets are properly recorded, amortized and disposed off as appropriate.
- Ensure that all pay rolls and VAT/ Taxation requirement are met.
- Develop, engage, motivate and preserve the human capital of the Company.
- Develop, implement and monitor the overall Human Resource strategic system and sound across the organization.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Assess training of employees and monitor training programmes.
- Ensure compliance of Labor Laws and regulations.
Qualification and Experience
- A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience with at least 2 years in a Management role preferably in the financial sector
- Excellent knowledge of the financial industry, Bank of Ghana regulations, and other statutory financial regulations relevant to the banking industry
- Excellent knowledge of best practices in financial reporting and regulations including IFRS
- Excellent knowledge of Funds Transfer Pricing and cost allocation methodologies for business segment performance reporting
- Excellent knowledge of Ghana Tax Laws
- Strong understanding of risk management relevant to the banking industry.
- Excellent Cost Accounting skills is critical for the role
- Excellent budgeting skills are critical to this role and good knowledge in treasury management is desirable.

- Strong strategic planning skills
- Outstanding communication skills –writing skills and strong verbal and listening skills is essential
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, MS Access) essential for effective service delivery
- Minimum of a masters’ degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university
- Membership of a relevant professional body (CA/ ACCA/ CIMA /CFA or equivalent)
