Job Description/Requirements
The Mepe Area Rural Bank Limited is inviting applications from suitable persons for the positions of Head of Accounts Department
Duties/Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of BOG prudential returns
- Preparation of inter-bank and inter-agency reconciliation statement
- Preparation and review of the budget, budgetary control report, and corporation plan
- Maintenance of all asset registers
- Any other duties that the Board or General Manager may assign from time to time
- Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual results
- Approve or reject budgets
- Conduct risk management
- Evaluate and decide on investments
- Supervise a team of Accountants
- Allocate resources and manage cash flows
- Conduct profit and cost analyses
- Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
- Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
- Consult board members about funding options
- Recommend cost-reducing solutions
Qualification Required & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, Accounting option or any other related course, and or equivalent professional qualification e.g. C.A, ACCA, ACIB
- Minimum of 5 years of banking experience
- Must be computer literate. Knowledge in T24 software shall be an added advantage
