A well established company is currently recruiting for an Head Chef (Offshore) in Ghana
General Management and administration of the galley
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Cookery or catering.
- Trained in Food Hygiene, first aid at work, Health abs safety in the workplace.
- Valid Offshore certificates.
- Must be qualifies to NVQ or equivalent.
- Offshore experience is a mandatory requirement for the role.
- 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Must have the experience in preparing a wide variety of menus and dishes suitable for Ghanaian and expatriate staff.
Responsibilities:
- General management and administration of the galley
- Ensure all health and safety practices within the galley are implemented.
- Supervision of catering team.
- Ensure adherence to best food standards and safety practices
- Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces
- Responsible for the choice ingredients that will give dishes the best flavor
- Experiments to come up with new specialties to satisfy the crew.
