Job Summary
A leading investment brokerage firm is offering a 1 year graduate trainee program for talented, ambitious graduates who want to make a difference in the investment industry and are passionate about doing so. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Acquire thorough understanding of Ghanaian capital market, investments and regulatory industry.
- Keenly adhere to the Company’s policies, Operational manual, AML-CFT Compliance program and any other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Solicit and aggressively pursue new business leads, existing and prospective clients to build sales pipelines.
- Undertake client’s KYC onboarding and update of transactional records.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationship with HNWI, corporate clients, institutional investors and other key stakeholders to drive sales and revenue.
- Prospect and ensure prompt response to RFQs/information from both internal or external stakeholders.
- Facilitate the execution of client’s orders in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with Company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the execution of corporate finance transactions, investment research, financial analysis, preparation of investment memos and client presentations.
- Assist with the clearing and settlement of executed transactions and Backoffice administration.
- Achieve monthly sales revenue targets set out by the Company through cross-selling of financial securities and products.
- Prepare periodic month-end transactions and compliance reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Any other duties as may be assigned or required.
Requirements:
- A minimum 2nd Class Upper Bachelor degree in Business Administration Accounting or Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or any other quantitative discipline is essential.
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years working experience in securities trading, financial services, investment management, accounting or finance post national service will be an advantage.
- Prospective applicant must possess either Ghana Investments & Securities Institute (GISI), CGIA or ACI dealing certificate.
- Proficiency in software applications such as Bloomberg and MS Office.
- Energetic personality and a team player that is driven by profit.
- Thorough understanding of Ghanaian capital market and securities industry law.
- Good communication, negotiations and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling and valuation acumen.
- Must be ambitious, comfortable with taking initiative and self-motivated.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Candidate should not be more than 30 years as at 7th October, 2024.
